Awesome service. I usually have to carry a million things to the beach. chairs, cooler, umbrella, towel, snacks etc. it was amazing to cut the load in half. I just recently had a baby so it helped a lot to have to carry less. we were able to rent all the stuff we needed for the baby like a crib and stroller. We rented a golf cart too which made gettting to the beach and parking easier. best part it started to rain and we could leave quicky not having to worry about the umbrella and chairs before it started pouring. It as amazing. next time we are going to try the bikes and grill.... other tourist on the island recommended we try it!I loved them and I'll be going to them again. being able to get everything at one place made things way less stressful.
Great company! Easy to work with. Our grill, bocce ball set, and golf cart were all there upon arrival to our rental unit. Everyone I spoke with was super friendly and knowledgeable. Most everything was able to be handled via their website and email!
Thank you reliable service. It was a pleasure to have a vendor who truly cared about its customers. We used a competing service last time we were in Ocean Isle and it darn near wreck our vacation. Thank you again for a job well done!
I took for granted Brian at his word that he could fix it. Now I see that he's lacking in the repair skills needed for golf cart repairs. For those of you liking for repairs visit Golf Cart Outlet. Those guys at least KNOW what they are doing. Do not trust Beachway Rentals to properly repair your golf cart.
I own a competing service and I thought Brian (owner of Beachway Rentals) and I were friendly competitors. I had a Star Golf cart that had an electrical issue as all the lights were out. I called Brian and he said he could 'work on it'. I went to him outside of the usual place I take it because I needed it repaired quickly as the dealership I frequent was backed up for weeks. Upon dropping it off Brian told me the Star Carts have 'lots of splices', referring to the wiring harness. He said he could fix it. I don't know anything about golf carts and since he 'builds and repairs' golf carts I had no reason to doubt him. A couple days go by and it's 'ready'. Both headlights work and one rear light, but the turn signals, horn and parking lights don't work. It was operational to a point and I told him after the season was over I'd bring it back for him to fully complete the repair. Well after the rental season I took it to the authorized star car dealer and once they got it in the service technician called me because 'alot of wires have been cut and spliced together'. He was having a hard time trying to figure out what was wrong and what was malfunctioning. They eventually had to order a wiring harness just to use as a 'guide' to re-wire it after Beachway Rentals basically Jerry-rigged the cart. All in all it was just a light switch. A $140 part was all that was needed. The bill from Beachway Rentals was just over a $100 dollars and over the past few weeks I've contacted Beachway Rentals by email (three in total) explaining what I've explained here and asking politely to refund back the charge as he didn't repair it but actually caused more harm than good. The bill to repair, troubleshoot and repair what Beachway Jerry-rigged barely broke $300. I asked Beachway to refund my money and not once did anyone reply. Upon reading a couple of the reviews here it appears they don't contact anyone back if there is a goof unless a formal complaint is made with the BBB. For a hundred bucks it's not worth suing over as the filing fee is $60 and you can't recoup that in court so I opted to post in this venue instead.
